In exile, the goal and the great acheivement of the Jewish people was survival. They survived through hardships, pogroms, poverty while empires crumbled around them. After the Holocaust, the most amazing proof of the strength of survival occurred, with the establishment of the State of Israel, and the path of the Jewish people took a sudden turn. Almost immediately, Israel became a hub of interest to the world, and a major, active player on the world stage.

Prophecies and Providence traces the modern history of the Jewish people through the prism of the Torah and the writings of  the sages. Everything happening around us, extraordinary in our eyes, is clearly laid out in the Scriptures. This book completes the connection between the words of the Torah and the modern world.
