In this book, Rabbi Bulka endeavors to share insights to help make the world a better place. The book is a collection of essays, spanning a number of decades. The title Fixing Tikkun Olam was chosen, as the intention of the book is to change the way we think about the concept of Tikkun Olam, and understand what it really means to improve the world.

The first section deals with big picture concepts such as what it means to be holy and where meaning, philosophy, and psychology meet. The second section deals with well-known prayers or affirmations and attempts to explore their deeper meaning. The third and final section deals with famous biblical stories, and suggests new ways of thinking about them.
